Congratulations to all Edna Ryan Award Recipients!

This month WEL NSW celebrated the 13th year of the EDNAs in recognition of women who have made a feminist difference.

In all, 15 women were honoured for their achievements in the areas of arts, battling, community activism, media/communication, education, mentoring and workforce. All of the women awarded have made a feminist difference. They are battlers, stirrers, troublemakers who show extraordinary commitment and determination to improve life for women and for society as a whole.

WEL would like to congratulate all recipients of this year's Edna Ryan Awards!

Working women are still in the RED

Women working full time, on average, get only 82% of men's earnings and the gap is increasing.  This year, women will have to work 2 months more o earn the same as their male equivalent.

Download a postcard and send to a politician to remind them that working women are STILL waiting for equal pay.  Or contact the WEL office on 9212.4374 or This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it to be sent some postcards.
